How to Manage Your Inventory with Youtap’s POS Stock Management Application

1. Access Your Inventory using Youtap’s POS Stock Management App

The first step is to access the Stock Management Feature in Youtap’s POS application.

On the Main Screen of the application page, look for the Icon located at the top left, known as the “Burger Bar” (due to its appearance resembling three horizontal lines). 

Steps:

  • Click the Burger button on the top-left menu; and then 
  • Several options will appear on the screen.

2. Select “Edit Product” to Access the Product Page

After accessing the Main Menu, the next step is to select the “Edit Product” Option, which will direct you to the List of [available] Products in your store or business. 

Steps:

  • Click “Edit Product” from the List of Options in the Menu; 
  • You will be directed to the Product Page, where all previously added products will be displayed, and
  • Here, you can view all the products recorded in the Youtap POS application, with details such as the product's category, name, price, and size.

3. Click the Settings Icon to View Menu Options

Once you are on the Product Page, you will see each product listed. Each product has a Settings Button next to it which provides access to a variety of Product Management Options, such as Stock Management. 

Steps:

  • Click the Settings Icon next to the Product you wish to manage; and 
  • After clicking, FIVE menu options will appear. 

4. Select the “Set Stock” Option

After pressing the THREE-DIT-BUTTON, you will see FIVE Product Management Options. From these options, select the one labeled “Set Stock.” This feature allows you to adjust the stock quantity for the selected product.

Steps:

  • Choose and click “Set Stock.”; and 
  • After selecting, the application will take you to the Store Stock Settings page.

5. Manage Stock on the Store Stock Page

Once you enter the Store Stock page, you will see a list of products available in your store. Here, you can determine the stock levels for specific products.

Steps:

  • Select the product for which you want to adjust the stock from the available list; and 
  • After selecting the product, click “Set Stock” to start managing the stock for that product.

6. Click the Settings Icon to View Menu Options

After selecting the product you wish to manage, you will be taken to the Stock Settings page.

Here, you can ADD or SUBTRACT stock quantities as needed.

If a product is out of stock, you can update it immediately to reflect it in the system. Conversely, if you have just received new items, you can update the stock right away.

Steps:

  • Enter the appropriate stock quantity by ADDING or REDUCING the existing stock; and 
  • After updating the stock, make sure to click the Save button to preserve the changes.

7. Utilize the Low Stick Notification Feature

One of the advantages of using Youtap POS is the Low Stock Notification feature.

You can set a MINIMUM STOCK ALERT so the application notifies you when stock is running low.

This way, you won’t have to worry about running out of items and can restock before customers are left without products.  

Steps:

  • Enter the minimum stock level for specific products; and 
  • The application will automatically provide a WARNING when the stock for that product reaches the minimum threshold.

8. Monitor Stock in Real-Time with Detailed Reports
